Whether it's purposeful or not, Ariana Grande has kept her beauty routineВ on the down-low. We know the eyeliners her makeup artist uses to achieve her iconic cat eye, but we can't be certain what hair products are used to create her high ponytail, or what skincare products keep her skin looking so bright and smooth. That all changed during a Twitter interaction with her fans. According to Allure, Grande revealed a few skincare staples she swears by. One is a luxury face mask; the other 2 are affordable makeup removers (in fact, one isВ straight from the drugstore).ВLa Mer The Lifting and Firming Mask $250Shop
It all started when Grande posted a picture of herself with smudged eye makeup. Her fans were quick to question whether or not she had committed one of the ultimate skincare sins-that is, sleeping with makeup on. She confirmed that she did sleep with her eye makeup on, writing "still exfoliated and did a La Mer mask," followed by, "LEAVE ME ALONE SIS," and "IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN."
While we're not surprised to hear that Grande uses La Mer products (the brand is popular among celebrities), we were left wondering which one she uses, since there's more than just one. We're assuming it's the brand's best-selling mask, which is the Lifting and Firming Mask. After all, according toВ top skincare experts, it's best to start focusing on an anti-aging routine as early as your mid-20s, and Grande is 25.В В
This mask usesВ the brand's special seaweed ferment that it calls the Miracle Broth, along with a whole host of oils and botanical extracts, to lift and firm the skin just like the name promises. Seeing as it's $250 for a mere 1.7 ounces, it's definitely an investment product. The other products Grande mentioned, however, are easier on our bank accounts.Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - Twin Pack $9Shop
After Grande's initial response about exfoliating and using a La Mer mask, her fans had even more questions for her, including what makeup removers she uses. That's when she replied, "I use Neutrogena wipes and coconut oil if my lash glue is being annoying."
While there are few different iterations of Neutrogena's makeup wipes, we're assuming she uses the classic Cleansing Towelettes, which are beloved by everyone from makeup artists to celebrities (like Grande apparently) and beauty editors. That's because the gentle pre-soaked wipes remove tough makeup without pulling on the skin or drying it out.Kopari Coconut Melt $18Shop
She also mentioned using coconut oil to remove stubborn eye makeup (in her case, lash glue). Many of her fans were quick to point out that coconut oil can be too heavy for oily and acneic skin types, causing it to breakout. That can definitely happen. However, if you have dry skin, and you're looking for a relatively inexpensive and effective way to remove eye makeup-even the waterproof kind-it's an option. (In fact, more often than not, I reach for Kopari's Coconut Melt to remove my eye makeup. It only takes a minute or two to break through and dissolve stubborn makeup. Plus, there's no rubbing or pulling required).В
From here on out, we'll count on Grande's army of Twitter followers to get an inside look atВ her beauty routine. Hopefully, she'll talk makeup and hair products. We can only dream.В
